About the Role

We are seeking a Recruiting Lead to build DeployCo’s talent acquisition function from inception through scale. This leader will define the hiring strategy, recruiting infrastructure, and operating model required to identify exceptional builders for a high-ambition, hands-on deployment company.

Initially, this role will operate as a player-coach, partnering closely with OpenAI Recruiting to stand up processes, systems, and employer branding while directly leading critical executive and technical hiring. Over time, you will build and lead a recruiting organization that can move quickly, assess rigorously, and represent DeployCo’s culture with clarity and care.

You will partner closely with DeployCo’s executive team and functional leaders to forecast workforce needs, shape organizational design, and ensure hiring execution supports ambitious growth without lowering the bar.

Your day-to-day will include writing role scorecards, running searches, calibrating interview loops, closing candidates, cleaning up funnel data, pushing hiring decisions forward, and building the operating rhythms that make recruiting reliable.

Success in this role will look like a team that hires exceptional people quickly and thoughtfully, gives candidates a clear and honest view of DeployCo, and builds repeatable recruiting muscle instead of relying on heroic one-off efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and lead DeployCo’s end-to-end recruiting function.

  • Set up core systems that allow us to scale our recruiting function.

  • Partner with executives to define role scopes, org design, and hiring priorities.

  • Lead executive search and critical early leadership hires.

  • Establish employer branding and candidate experience standards that feel ambitious, honest, and human.

  • Build and manage external search partner and recruiting vendor ecosystems.

  • Implement recruiting metrics and dashboards to drive accountability and performance.

You may thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 12–15+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition leadership roles.

  • Have experience building recruiting organizations from zero to scale.

  • Bring deep experience hiring technical and professional services talent.

  • Are comfortable partnering with executives and influencing organizational design.

  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments.

  • Are highly operational and data-driven, but still willing to source, schedule, debrief, close, and fix the process yourself when needed.

Compensation

$180K – $360K + Offers Equity
